WEBMASTER. Why the hell are we still saying and using the word webmaster? It’s 2026. Even real estate agents refer to bedrooms as primary NOT master. How is webmaster still ok? Especially in places that claim to be inclusive and progressive.
A college using the word webmaster has completely lost the fucking plot. Not a plot twist, a completely fucking lost plot line. It’s been more than 30 years of the web and webmaster isn’t a developer who knows how to code or a designer who knows how to create a comprehensive experience a webmaster is just (usually) the guy who makes the thing work well enough to keep his job.
I was a webmaster when there was a guy who was The Webmaster. But, he didn’t do anything but keep the servers going. Administrator is a fine title. Web or Network Administrator are fine titles. Just stop saying shit like webmaster.
